The Novice in archives/Internet history

The information provided in this class was interesting. Even though 3,000 black soldiers fighting during the  civil war, I think that the number is  a little too high, however, I do believe that there were black soldiers included in the army, but I wonder if these soldiers were willing to carry arms or did their masters force them to carry them?

Origins of Genre

The class of Monday, October 15 was very interesting. The introduction to important artists such as Charlie Christian, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard and the king of rock and roll Elvis Presley gave us a fairly broad idea of the talent that existed in the past and made history. One of the productions that I enjoyed during  class was California Cotton Fields by Merle Haggard.

Segregating Sound

Segregating Sound is a book that describes how songs were the only vehicle that African-American used to comfort their anguish souls. Many songs arose back in those times, however, for many years these songs were isolated and the only ones who were able to hear these  these delightful sounds were themselves or others living in the same conditions. This book tells us about the hope that these people had in the bottom of their heart, but only songs could help them to survive.
